We've put out a second beta of 4.0 - consisting mostly of a number of fixes for the new HTML export facility. Thanks to everyone who has tried it out so far! We've also updated our hosting site to use the new version.

Running as an NT Service. It recently came to our attention that the free "lite" version of FireDaemon is no longer available. We've been recommending FireDaemon as a great way to run CourseForum or ProjectForum as a Windows service. Having the free version of FireDaemon available was certainly nice in that regard. While you could probably find copies of the older "lite" version kicking around the net, the "pro" version, at only $25, is still a great bargain, and we have no hesitation recommending it. But we're also looking at other alternatives, including building in service support directly into CourseForum and ProjectForum. If you have any suggestions for things we should be looking at, please let us know. Tuesday, October 19, 2004
Hosting Disk Limits Increased. We've substantially bumped up the disk limits on our hosting service, for both current and new customers. Please visit either the ProjectForum hosting or CourseForum hosting pages for details on all our hosting plans.Monday, October 18, 2004
Beta of ProjectForum / CourseForum 4.0. We've just posted a beta release of the upcoming 4.0 releases of CourseForum and ProjectForum. The beta page describes the features that have changed in this release. We hope that you'll have a look at these, and really value any feedback as to how the new pieces work, their design, etc. We've tried to focus on some of the most frequent requests that we get. But there are lots of different choices for how these can be implemented. In choosing the approaches that we did, we took into account approaches used in other systems, while keeping true to the nature and approach we've always taken with CourseForum and ProjectForum. But .. betas are the time to provide feedback on if we made the right choice, so if you have something to say about the new features, say it now before we go final on 4.0! | ||
